About me
I’m not a real bartender. But I am a very real queer. I’m also a writer, reader, walker and talker. For a day job I’m a journalist and social media editor at The Economist. I try to stimulate civil conversation online around journalism. Through my work I am seeking to make social media platforms better at this, by working with Facebook and others.
I also help to deliver workshops to school kids about being LGBT+, with a charity called Diversity Role Models. I co-chair a staff LGBT+ network for the company that makes The Economist. I write and produce short films. And of course I write unpublishable novels. You can find more of my work at www.adamesmith.co.uk.
